Additional Training Details

Training requests will be finalized when a PO is received and a COMPanion Trainer/Librarian has approved the requested date(s). PO's must be received at least one month in advance of any tentative training date or the training will need to be rescheduled.

Unfortunately, due to the high-volume of training requests, scheduling of desired dates is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. All scheduling is coordinated with a COMPanion Trainer/Librarian. Please plan ahead as the schedule for the Trainer/Librarians fills up quickly.

Onsite training that is purchased, scheduled, and then cancelled by the customer with less than 5 weeks notice will result in a cancellation fee of $1000 and with less than 2 weeks notice of a cancellation fee of $2000. Such cancellation fees do not apply to InHouse, Online, or Phone trainings.

OnSite Includes:

  • No limit to number of participants. Smaller groups recommended for better effectiveness.
  • Maximum of 7 hours of training per day purchased.
  • Materials (if available) provided electronically by COMPanion.
  • Travel expenses for the Trainer/Librarian.
  • Training with a COMPanion-certified Trainer/Librarian.

Customer's Responsibilities for OnSite Training:

  • Accurate and timely information for the Trainer to schedule and plan the training.
  • Facility with machines capable of running the training demo.
  • Either a machine with a projector and projection screen or one machine per two participants. (Recommended one machine per participant.)
  • Installation of the training demo on all machines to be used in the training prior to the trainer's arrival.
  • One copy per participant of any training materials provided electronically by COMPanion.

Online (WebEx) (Windows and Macintosh) Includes:

  • No limit to number of participants.
  • Number of hours purchased with a maximum of 7 hours of training per day purchased.
  • Materials (if available) provided electronically by COMPanion.
  • Online WebEx Conference.
  • COMPanion-initiated phone call.
  • Training with a COMPanion-certified Trainer/Librarian.

Customer's Responsibilities for Online Training:

  • Accurate and timely information for the Trainer to schedule and plan the training.
  • Facility with machines capable of running the training demo.
  • Installation of the training demo on all machines to be used in the training prior to the scheduled training time.
  • A Windows machine with an Internet connection and, if multiple participants planned, then also a projector and projection screen.
  • A two-way speaker phone which all participants can hear. If a large group will be trained, additional amplification may be necessary.
  • Recommended an additional machine per 1-2 participants.
  • On the Windows machine with the Internet connection and projector, install the WebEx Internet plug-in prior to the training. (Log on to companioncorp.webex.com and click on New User. Follow the installation instructions. )
  • One copy per participant of any training materials provided electronically by COMPanion.

Phone Training Includes:

  • No limit to number of participants.
  • Number of hours purchased with a maximum of 7 hours of training per day purchased.
  • Materials (if available) provided electronically by COMPanion.
  • COMPanion-initiated phone call.
  • Training with a COMPanion-certified Trainer/Librarian.

Customer's Responsibilities for Phone Training:

  • Accurate and timely information for the Trainer to schedule and plan the training.
  • Facility with machines capable of running the training demo.
  • Installation of the training demo on all machines to be used in the training prior to the scheduled training time.
  • Either a machine with a projector and projection screen or one machine per 2 participants. (Recommended one machine per participant.)
  • A two-way speaker phone which all participants can hear. If a large group will be trained, additional amplification may be necessary.
  • One copy per participant of any training materials provided electronically by COMPanion.

InHouse Includes:

  • Maximum of 7 hours of training per day purchased.
  • Materials (if available) provided by COMPanion.
  • Training with a COMPanion-certified Trainer/Librarian.
  • Facility with machines capable of running the training demo with the demo pre-installed.
  • Either a machine with a projector and projection screen or one machine per two participants. (COMPanion will attempt to provide one machine per participant.)
  • Recommendations on hotels near the training site.
  • Lunch for all participants.

Customer's Responsibilities for InHouse Training:

  • Accurate and timely information for the Trainer to schedule and plan the training.
  • Arrange and finance their own travel expenses - including hotel, car rental and airfare.
